Come grow with us and let us show you why Sysco is at the heart of food and service.Compensation Range$91,200 - $120,000SummaryThe Site Director of Operations leads all production, warehouse, transportation, and facility activities to ensure the accurate, efficient, and safe movement of products to customers. This role maintains a strong, hands‑on presence across all shifts, supporting teams directly on the floor and adapting to business needs with full schedule flexibility. The Director drives KPI performance, operational reliability, and regulatory and food safety compliance while fostering a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement. Working closely with cross‑functional partners, this leader builds high‑performing teams and ensures coordinated, cost‑effective operations that deliver exceptional service and operational excellence.ResponsibilitiesOperations LeadershipLead all manufacturing and warehouse operations, ensuring protected, efficient, high‑quality, and fiscally responsible performance across the plant.Oversee daily production, warehouse activities, inventory accuracy, 3rd‑party management, and shrink control.Manage production processing, yield targets, CPP, rate fill, and overall KPI achievement.Direct production planning, forecasting,



and ERP system accuracy.Maintain strong operational presence during high seasonality and provide weekend support as required.Ensure balanced time spent on the production and warehouse floor while completing all administrative duties and supporting cross‑departmental collaboration.Support transportation, delivery operations, route optimization, fleet services, and facilities.Safety, Compliance & Regulatory OversightEnsure full compliance with local, federal, and provincial regulations (OHS, MOT, FDA, USDA, DOL, etc.), licensing, and logbook requirements.Maintain adherence to Sysco's food safety policies, protocols, documentation, and audit requirements to minimize risk and ensure legal compliance.Oversee inspections, regulatory audits, and accurate completion and retention of all required documentation (e.G., food safety records, MOT records, EPSM, PSM).Protect the safety and security of the building, equipment, product, and personnel.Monitor and maintain production, warehouse, refrigeration, HVAC, fire protection, fleet, equipment, and office systems to meet safety, sanitation, and operational standards.Provide leadership in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), ensuring teams have resources, training, and accountability to meet EHS expectations.Collaborate with the FSQA department to ensure that food safety and compliance standards are consistently met and maintained across all operations.Manage key performance indicators and financial metrics, making operational adjustments to meet or exceed targets.Support expense and revenue management to optimize plant-level profitability.Lead ongoing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and operational effectiveness.Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to all production, warehouse, and supervisory staff.Maintain strong associate relations through regular communication, open dialogue, and responsiveness to team needs.Support and execute employee engagement initiatives in partnership with cross‑functional teams.Champion an inclusive, respectful,



and high‑performance culture.Ensure accurate scheduling, timecard approvals, and workforce planning for direct reports.Risk Management, Emergency Response & Business ContinuityMaintain and support contingency protocols to prevent business disruption.Partner in emergency response and crisis management activities, coordinating with local agencies and internal stakeholders.Assist with training initiatives related to emergency preparedness and safety programs.Corporate & Cross‑Functional AlignmentExecute corporate and local operational initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational goals and standards.Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Safety, Merchandising, and other support teams to drive business performance and customer satisfaction.Manage customer complaints related to production or operational activities, ensuring timely resolution.GeneralEnsure software systems and operational tools are used appropriately and kept up to date.Provide coverage support, ensuring continuity of responsibilities when acting as a skip‑line manager.Maintain schedule flexibility, including availability for days, nights, evenings, and weekends based on business needs.Comfortable working in a cooler and freezer environment.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsA minimum of seven (7+) years of Operations management experience required.A minimum of seven (7+) years of Food manufacturing, preferably in protein products. Experience with meat processing/manufacturing an asset.Post‑secondary education in related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.Exposure/familiarity to Lean Six Sigma environment is an asset.Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.Sound knowledge of the Occupation Health and Safety Act.Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment with a strong focus on delivering results.Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships across teams.Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines effectively.Valid driver's license with access to a vehicle may be required (travel up to 10%).#J-18808-Ljbffr
