As the first-ever Senior Director, Global Corporate Communications, you will be responsible for crafting Arc’teryx’s corporate narrative and elevating executive leadership voices both internally and externally. The most important thing we care about is HOW you do the work - collaboratively, with positive intent, and having fun while doing it together.If you were the Senior Director, Corporate Communications, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:Corporate Narrative & Reputation StrategyLeading the development of Arc’teryx’s corporate narrative and messaging framework, ensuring alignment with the company’s long‑term strategy and growth prioritiesDriving a global corporate communications strategy that builds brand awareness and credibility alongside Arc’teryx’s continued growthDeveloping and maintaining evergreen corporate messaging that protects and reinforces the unique identity of the brandExecutive Communications & Leadership VisibilityServing as a strategic communications advisor to the executive leadership team, shaping messaging and positioning across key internal and external momentsLeading the executive communications strategy to ensure a consistent leadership voice across internal communications, media engagements, industry forums,
and investor momentsIdentifying and developing thought leadership opportunities that elevate Arc’teryx leaders and strengthen the brand’s position within the global business and outdoor industriesAmplifying the Arc’teryx Leadership Code through leadership communications and storytellingDefining and executing a strategy for executive presence at global conferences and industry forumsIdentifying high‑impact speaking opportunities and managing all supporting communications including messaging, Q&A, and media engagement preparationMedia Relations & Corporate StorytellingLeading relationships with key business, financial, and trade media outlets, working in partnership with agencies of record to shape and deliver Arc’teryx’s corporate storyOverseeing corporate media strategy, including proactive storytelling, executive media engagements, and narrative positioningLeading executive media preparation, including media training, messaging development, and Q&A preparationOverseeing the development of corporate content including press releases, media pitches, and other storytelling materialsFinancial & Investor CommunicationsPartnering with the Amer Sports, Strategy and Finance teams to support investor and analyst communications, including materials and messaging for investor conferences and major corporate momentsLeading communications preparation for quarterly earnings, including executive messaging, call scripts, releases, and Q&A preparationInternal Leadership CommunicationsPartnering with the Global Employee Communications team to ensure alignment and consistency in leadership communications across internal channelsSupporting senior leaders for global employee moments including employee events, internal announcements, and leadership communications on the global intranetIssues Management & Corporate ReputationSupporting corporate reputation management by preparing leadership messaging and communications strategies for sensitive issues or critical business momentsTeam & Cross‑Functional LeadershipFostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementBuilding organizational capability through strong talent development and succession planningPartnering closely with teams across the business, including Strategy, Investor Relations, Legal, HR, and Brand, to ensure alignment and clarity in corporate messaging across all audiencesSupporting frontline communication needs by partnering with teams to cascade key information to store teams, Arc’ONE, partners, and other audiencesHere are some of the things you could be working on in the future:As a leader in the business, continuing to grow your expertise for internal business moments and quarterly business meetingsDeveloping a regionalized approach to global corporate strategyCultivating a team of communicators who amplify our brand presence and drive Arc’teryx reputation in new and exciting ways, globallyAre you our next Senior Director, Global Corporate Communications?You have deep experience advising and supporting C‑suite executives,
including preparing leaders for high‑stakes communications moments such as media interviews, earnings calls, and major corporate announcementsYou have strong experience working with business, financial, and trade media, and understand how to position a corporate narrative within the broader business landscapeYou have experience developing and executing executive communications and thought leadership strategies that elevate leaders and strengthen brand reputationYou are comfortable navigating complex, quick-moving situations and have experience supporting communications during sensitive or high‑visibility momentsYou are highly collaborative and experienced at working cross‑functionallyYou have experience managing and partnering effectively with global communications agenciesYou bring robust judgment and discretion when working with confidential or sensitive informationYou have experience shaping corporate narratives during periods of rapid growth or brand evolutionYou have a bachelor’s degree, or post‑secondary education in a related fieldYou have 15+ years of experience in communications, including time working for a global brandYou have experience working with a publicly traded company (US)You have strong writing and copyediting capabilitiesYou’re a self‑starter who is comfortable building things from scratchYou’re adaptable, flexible, and love being part of a team who is working toward a greater goalYou’re comfortable working hard, working with senior leaders, and under tight deadlinesBonus points if you’ve worked in the outdoor or sporting goods industryEqual OpportunityArc’teryx is committed to actively creating and fostering a culture of inclusivity where voices are heard, people are seen, and values are respected. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job‑related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.
