Job Title: D365 Finance & Operations Functional Consultant

Location: Remote (Canada) | Up to 30% Travel

Duration: 6-Month Contract (Strong Potential for Extension up to 12 Months)

About the Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O;) Functional Consultant to support ongoing implementation and optimization initiatives. This is a fully remote prospect based in Canada with up to 30% travel to client sites as needed.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned functional consultant with strong business process expertise who can gather requirements, configure D365 F&O;, and partner with stakeholders to deliver scalable ERP solutions.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Lead discovery sessions and business process workshops across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or related business areas.
- Configure and optimize Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations to align with business objectives.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams.
- Support full lifecycle implementations, enhancements, and post-go-live optimization efforts.
- Develop functional design documentation, process maps, and user stories.




- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), issue resolution, and production deployments.
- Provide end-user training and create functional documentation.
- Partner with developers, architects, and project managers to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Recommend best practices and drive continuous process improvement.

Required Qualifications:

- 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Functional Consultant.
- Experience delivering multiple end-to-end D365 F&O; implementations.
- Strong functional knowledge in one or more of the following:
- Finance
- Supply Chain Management
- Procurement & Sourcing
- Inventory Management
- Manufacturing
- Warehouse Management
- Excellent business process analysis and requirements gathering skills.
- Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management experience.
- Experience supporting testing, training, and post-go-live support.
- Ability to travel up to 30% throughout Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations certifications.
- Previous consulting experience.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or Agile project delivery.
