Company & Compensation The company | Lead SWE | Toronto | $130,000 – $180,000 CAD | Founder-level equity | Founder with 3x successful exits Overview We are building enterprise-grade, white-label reporting infrastructure for municipal governments across North America. Responsibilities Make all technical decisions for the product. Design and maintain a multi-tenant cloud architecture that meets Canadian data residency requirements. Lead compliance framework buildout, including SOC 2, PIPEDA, MFIPPA and other relevant security standards for Canadian municipal procurement. Handle technical hiring as the team grows. Represent the technical platform to government IT evaluators. Mentor and review the existing TypeScript / Node.Js / PostgreSQL codebase.



Qualifications 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or backend engineering with direct exposure to multi-tenant architecture, data residency, and uptime SLA commitments. Shipped production systems where a bug has legal or compliance consequences. Hands-on experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PIPEDA, or equivalent regulated environments. Solid ability to review and critique AI-generated code and architectural decisions, without being threatened by AI tooling. Located in Toronto or willing to relocate to Toronto.
