Firm Description Harmony Succession Partners (HSP) is a boutique M&A firm based in Toronto, Ontario. We specialize in selling private businesses valued between $3 million and $30 million across Ontario, Canada. Over the past 5 years, HSP has sold over 65 companies. Candidates must have access to a vehicle for independent travel to client sites, with mileage reimbursed by HSP. Compensation range -$110,000 per year, subject to candidate’s experience and fit Job Description This role offers hands‑on experience across the full M&A deal lifecycle and the opportunity to grow into increasing client‑facing responsibility and performance‑based compensation over 1 to 3 years. HSP is committed to developing talent from within and building the next generation of M&A advisors. As an M&A Associate, you will work closely with the full team to support clients through all stages of the transaction process, from origination to closing. A typical workweek is structured as follows: 75–90%: Researching companies and industries, preparing marketing materials (teasers, CIMs, management presentations, pitch decks), organizing client data and data rooms for sell‑side processes,



supporting the team in preparing and presenting materials to current and prospective clients, building financial models, and proofreading financial and legal documents throughout the transaction lifecycle. 10–25%: Supporting client relationship management, including maintaining existing relationships, gathering transaction‑related information, participating in client presentations, and communicating with prospective buyers during due diligence. While this is not a sales‑focused role, HSP values an entrepreneurial mindset. Associates are rewarded for sourcing new business opportunities through a revenue‑sharing program, with the potential to earn up to 10% of total engagement fees. Skills We Are Looking For We are seeking candidates with strong critical thinking, writing, and accounting capabilities, as well as a proactive mindset and high emotional intelligence to effectively service clients. Undergraduate degree in Business Finance and/or Commerce or Accounting. Completion or progression toward a finance or accounting designation (CPA, CBV, CFA, MSc or MBA) would be considered an asset. Strong self‑starter with exceptional project management skills; the Associate will be expected to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously across various HSP engagements. Critical thinker with a solid understanding of accounting fundamentals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise documents. Previous experience in financial services is preferred, including accounting, equity research, transaction services, commercial banking, private equity, or investment banking. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. While not required, experience in client relationship management and business development is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
