Analyst II Compliance Reporting To: Assistant Manager Compliance Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-time Salary Range: $58,385 - $93,415 Posting Date: January 6 2026 Closing Date: January Hours of Work: 8:30 a.M. – 5:00 p.M. Opportunity This position will play an significant role in assisting with the planning and completion of regulatory compliance reviews and the delivery of high quality professional and independent compliance testing. The incumbent will contribute to a strong compliance and risk management culture through collaboration with other first, second, and third-line functions to ensure compliance risks are identified, mitigated, monitored, and reported on an ongoing basis. The incumbent will work closely with key stakeholders throughout the businesses to conduct process and control as well as identify remediation actions and process improvement opportunities. How you will contribute Support the implementation of the enterprise-wide compliance risk-based monitoring reviews as part of the Compliance Monitoring Program to assess compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls. Collaborate with the Compliance Department in implementing compliance processes, policies and procedures for new or changed business processes, and understand the business units' strategies and objectives. Document test cases and results using tracking tools and approved sampling processes, and conduct control assessments by documenting process maps, assessing risk,
and evaluating the design and operation of internal controls. Develop appropriate remediation actions to address any identified issues and manage and report on the status of control deficiency remediation plans. Ensure that the AVP Compliance is advised of all material information derived from the monitoring and testing program to enable management to provide an opinion on the adequacy of the RCM framework. Education & Experience Undergraduate degree or equivalent post-secondary education, or an acceptable combination of relevant experience, education, and/or training. 3 years of relevant experience in conducting compliance reviews/audits evaluating controls within financial services. Knowledge of compliance testing methodologies and processes. Strong understanding of Canadian laws, regulations, internal controls, and policies. Experience with Residential, commercial, and/or construction lending; regulatory environment and expectations within the Canadian financial services industry. Familiarity with provincial privacy laws (PIPEDA, CASL, PCMLTFA, etc.) and regulators (OSFI). Ability to synthesize complex information into accessible, meaningful findings and articulate them concisely. Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work well in a fast-paced team environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Working Environment & Physical Demands Office setting with periods of high volume and tight timelines. Long periods of stationary position/sitting and repetitive movement (e.G., using keyboard/mouse). Prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen. Multi-tasking may include speaking to customers on the phone while looking up information on a computer.
