ME Law Qualified Corporationis a Toronto-based litigation firm specializing in estate, real estate, and corporate/commercial disputes. Our practice focuses on complex civil litigation matters. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivatedAccountant to join our team. This role offers robust growth potential and may evolve into an executive-level position as the firm continues to expand. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable and general ledger activities Complete audit, review, and compilation engagements, including preparation of financial statements and notes with minimal supervision Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements Oversee accurate and timely monthly and year-end closings, including review of balance sheet accounts, account reconciliations, approval of journal entries, and review of processed transactions Prepare and maintain reports for the Law Society of Ontario (LSO)



Support financial reporting and strategic decision-making Collaborate with leadership on financial planning and performance tracking Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA designation (or in progress) is preferred Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel Experience within a law firm or legal environment is considered a strong asset Experience with CosmoLex is considered a strong asset Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $80,000 base salary, with additional bonus compensation tied to KPI performance Performance-based bonuses and commission opportunities Extended health benefits Flexible work arrangements after six months Professional development and training opportunities Company events and industry conference participation Location: Toronto, ON (Yorkville) – Onsite Schedule: Monday to Friday Please apply with your CV and cover letter outlining your relevant experience.
