We're looking for an experienced Senior New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer to lead the successful transition of innovative aerospace products from concept through design, validation, certification, and manufacturing launch.
This is a highly visible role that combines technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on engineering in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
Lead New Product Introduction
- Lead engineering activities for new product development from concept through production launch.
- Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), cost optimization, and product industrialization.
- Ensure seamless transition from engineering development into manufacturing.
Design & Develop Aerospace Products
- Design and develop mechanical and structural aerospace components using SolidWorks.
- Perform engineering calculations, structural assessments, and FEA analyses to validate product performance.
- Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes while balancing performance, cost, and manufacturability.
Validation & Certification
- Develop qualification, verification, and validation plans.
- Coordinate laboratory and field testing activities.
- Analyze test results and prepare technical reports supporting FAA, TCCA, and EASA certification activities.
- Support STC development and certification documentation.
Collaborate Across the Business
- Partner closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Procurement, and Program Management.
- Support prototype builds, pilot production, first article inspections (FAI), and production readiness.
- Resolve technical issues throughout the product lifecycle.
Technical Leadership
- Mentor junior engineers and designers.
- Lead design reviews and technical decision-making.
- Champion engineering best practices, continuous improvement, and standardization.
- Support root cause investigations and engineering change activities.
What We're Looking For
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in product development, mechanical design, or aerospace engineering.
- Experience leading New Product Introduction (NPI) or product industrialization projects.
- Experience supporting products from concept through manufacturing release.
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks (3D CAD) .
- Strong understanding of:
- Mechanical design
- Structural analysis
- Aerospace materials
- Manufacturing processes
- GD&T;
- Tolerance stack-up
- Experience using FEA tools.
- Knowledge of aerospace certification requirements (FAA, TCCA, EASA).
- Experience with STC development is considered a strong asset.
