Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Halifax, NS, for a Highways Stakeholder and Social Value Manager. The role involves managing stakeholder engagement, delivering social value initiatives, and ensuring collaboration between businesses and the community. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing stakeholder strategies, monitoring community needs, facilitating partnerships, preparing proposals for social value initiatives, and maintaining transparent communication with various stakeholders.



The position plays a critical role in aligning organizational goals with positive community impact.

Qualifications

- Experience in stakeholder management, customer engagement, and relationship building in sectors such as infrastructure, highways, rail, nuclear, or utilities.
- Proficiency in project management, planning, and delivering measurable social value initiatives and outcomes.
- Strong skills in communication, both written and verbal, including ability to conduct consultations, prepare reports, and facilitate stakeholder discussions.
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills to identify community wants and needs, and develop tailored solutions.
- Knowledge of Social Value frameworks, corporate social responsibility principles, and community engagement best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders in a agile environment.
- Relevant experience or education in social sciences, sustainability, business, or related fields.
- Familiarity with local regulations and community development strategies is a plus.
