Job Overview We’re hiring three Tech Leads to support our Engineering teams across Business Acquisition & Tooling (BAT), Accounts Tooling & Automation (ATAT), and Renewals & Pricing (RAP Each team focuses on different aspects of our platform, from customer‑facing applications to internal tooling and backend services. Responsibilities Collaborate with project stakeholders and the development team to design, build, and implement scalable, user‑friendly apps and libraries using Node, React, and Typescript. Work with Product Management to breakdown roadmap items into epics and tickets, ensuring clear priorities in the backlog. Provide a technical perspective on organizational objectives within the team’s scope of activities, analyzing requirements and recommending solutions. Use POC models provided by Staff Developers to design and implement systems and infrastructure aligned with the team’s vision. Adhere to the organization’s security strategy using a security‑first mindset. Discuss strategies and architectures, highlighting trade‑offs for potential solutions. Conduct code reviews to ensure pull requests meet acceptance criteria. Use quality metrics to identify and address gaps in the testing strategy. Recommend solutions that align with accepted testing frameworks. Manage and optimize the integration of third‑party systems, ensuring reliability, performance, and security. Define and prioritize technical debt and bugs, addressing them in collaboration with the team. Foster a culture of iterative deployability with awareness of cycle time and failure rates. Coach and mentor development team members to expand technical knowledge. Apply a systematic debugging approach to diagnose application issues. Write unit and higher‑level tests to ensure application quality and stability. Produce production‑ready code that is testable, understandable, and well‑documented. Follow Agile practices, suggest improvements,
and participate in team events. Understand company goals and help the engineering team deliver on initiatives. Ensure technical standards such as accessibility, performance, security, maintainability, functional correctness, operability, and observability are met. Document decisions, research, and guides to foster continuous learning and improvement. Requirements University degree or college diploma in a recognized technical, vocational or academic program or equivalent work experience. 7+ years of experience building rich, complex and scalable APIs, including integration with third‑party APIs. 5+ years of building front‑end web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks. 2+ years of designing scalable and distributed systems. Experience mentoring other developers. Extensive full‑stack experience with React/Redux/Node/TypeScript/PostgreSQL and JavaScript. Extensive experience with the Scrum framework and Agile methodologies. Familiarity with DORA metrics to measure DevOps performance and experience communicating results. Experience architecting and augmenting large software systems. Experience with JavaScript development toolings such as WebPack, Babel, and Storybook. Experience with unit testing frameworks like Jest/Mocha. Experience building and/or working with micro‑services and micro‑front‑ends. Nice to Have Experience with test automation frameworks such as Cypress, Nightwatch, Selenium, and BrowserStack. Experience with Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform, Pulumi and AWS. Experience with containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes. The salary range for this role is $150,000 to $170,000, not including the annual discretionary bonus and any additional performance‑based incentives. The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions ofemployment.
