TheBurlington Curling Club( BCC ) is one of the most successful and financially stable curling clubs in Canada. With up to 42 draws scheduled each week, the club maintains a dynamic and fast-paced environment, typically hosting six draws per day.ABOUT THE POSITIONBCC is seeking a permanent full-time General Manager. The General Manager oversees all operations at the Burlington Curling Club and is responsible for delivering an exceptional experience for members. This role includes managing staff, coordinating events, maintaining club facilities, and overseeing food and beverage services. The General Manager ensures that all operations align with the club’s standards and budget while prioritizing member health and safety and the club’s overall financial sustainability. This position is currently filled on an interim basis.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESStaff ManagementHire, train, schedule, and supervise all hospitality staff, including servers, bartenders, banquet staff, and kitchen personnelHire and train office staffOptimize staff scheduling based on event volume and member usageConduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and developmentEnsure all staff are trained in safety procedures, defibrillator use,



and appropriate response to ice-related injuriesMember RelationsActively engage with members and address concerns or complaints in a timely and professional mannerCollect and evaluate member feedback to improve services and overall club experienceImplement member engagement and loyalty initiativesSupport membership growth and retention, including renewals, Learn to Curl programs, and external marketingProvide information and support to new curlersMaintain member communications, including newsletters, schedules, website updates, and sponsorship messagingMonitor and manage the hospitality budget to ensure cost-effective operationsCollaborate with staff and the Board of Directors on annual budgets and improvement opportunitiesAnalyze financial reports to identify trends and areas for optimizationPrepare budget forecasts and track expendituresMaintain and update sponsorship, financial, and promotional obligationsFood and Beverage OperationsOversee the quality, consistency, and service standards of food and beverage operationsMaintain appropriate inventory levels and manage orderingMonitor food and beverage costs to support profitabilityDevelop and implement beverage and catering menus based on member preferences and seasonal trendsMaintain and update the POS and inventory management systemsFacility ManagementMaintain cleanliness and presentation of all hospitality areas,
