Role Overview
We’re looking for a detail‑oriented and curious individual interested in building a career in building science and specialty services. In this role, you’ll contribute to meaningful projects, develop technical skills, and work closely with project teams supporting assessments, investigations, and reporting across a variety of environments.

Position
Project Technologist in Building Science & Sustainability in Saskatoon. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager and is being filled as a replacement role.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Building and Property Condition Assessments for due diligence and/or capital planning purposes in accordance with ASTM standards and construction practices at various client sites.
- Capital planning Building Condition Assessments and/or Reserve Fund Studies.
- Review and complete assessments of existing buildings and structures (roof assemblies, exterior cladding assemblies, balcony assemblies, fenestrations, and parking garage structures) to determine design and remedial work options.
- Prepare written reports of findings, summarizing, collating, and interpreting the results of field data.
- Maintain QA/QC protocols.
- Maintain health and safety protocols as well as quality control within the group.
- Perform any other job‑related duties that may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Technically capable, curious, accountable, and collaborative, with a strong interest in building science.
- Diploma/degree in Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction, Architecture, Building Science, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of Building/Property Condition Assessments (PCAs/BCAs) and familiarity with ASTM standards (e.g.,
ASTM E2024) is an asset.
- Experience with building construction, rehabilitation, or maintenance practices is preferred.
- Understanding of building envelope assemblies and building systems (including HVAC) is preferred.
- Working knowledge of the National Building Code and applicable standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and reports.
- Strong written communication skills, including experience preparing clear technical reports.
- Reliability to perform fieldwork (including travel) with a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle (expenses reimbursed). Level I drone license and/or Level I thermography are considered assets.
