With offices nationwide and a rapidly expanding presence in Vancouver, their firm is recognized for a unique business model that aligns risk and reward through performance-based outcomes rather than traditional fee structures.Responsibilities Lead major Environmental Assessments (provincial and federal) as the client's strategic advisor and owner's representativeOversee EA technical teams, including QA/QC of EA deliverables, schedules, and regulatory processesProvide senior-level strategic advice on permitting, regulatory risk, Indigenous relations, government relations, and stakeholder engagementDevelop and implement integrated regulatory and permitting strategies that align technical, Indigenous, government, and public dimensionsLead proactive regulatory engagement, including managing regulator relationships and advocating for fair, timely permitting outcomesSupport and lead Indigenous engagement initiatives, including negotiations of partnerships and agreements in support of responsible developmentDesign and execute government relations and public affairs strategies for complex projectsOversee corporate reputation, issues management,



and crisis response on behalf of clientsLead stakeholder and public engagement programs, including coalition-building, advocacy, consultation, and communicationsAct as a senior leader, reinforcing the firm's brand, culture, and strategic approachSupport business development through networking, proposal development, client pitches, and relationship buildingLead, mentor, and manage team members, supporting professional development, performance, and day-to-day executionQualifications Post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline (environmental, regulatory, planning, policy, or related field)12+ years of senior experience in environmental assessment, permitting, or regulatory consulting within CanadaStrong understanding of provincial and federal environmental assessment and government decision-making processesExperience across one or more of the following sectors:MiningEnergyInfrastructureResource or community developmentDemonstrated experience working with provincial and federal EA processes (as proponent, consultant, or regulator)Strong background in Indigenous engagement, including knowledge of Canadian Indigenous rights, title, and relevant jurisprudenceProven ability to build and maintain relationships with regulators, government officials, Indigenous groups, industry partners, and stakeholdersExperience developing and executing government relations and permitting strategiesDemonstrated client leadership, project management, and account management experienceExperience leading, mentoring, and managing professional teamsStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to varied audiencesProven negotiation, facilitation, and mediation skillsBusiness development experience and a track record of client acquisition considered a robust assetSalary: $150,000-$200,000 | Bonuses | Paid Vacation | BenefitsLocation: Downtown Vancouver (hybrid/remote)#J-18808-Ljbffr
