Pricing Transformation Manager Full-Time 18-month Contract Location: Mississauga, ON Hours: 40hr. / Week Salary Range: Up to $140K, no benefits, no bonus, contract role Department: Marketing Reports To: VP of Marketing About Our Client Our client is a leading Canadian supplier of automotive, heavy-duty, and industrial products. They are seeking a full-time18-month Contract Pricing Transformation Manager . Reporting to VP of Marketing. This role will support facility projects by providing technical expertise in design, planning and execution. Position Summary We are undertaking a multi-phase pricing transformation initiative to modernize our pricing approach and implement a new pricing tool. The Pricing Manager will play a key role in shaping and executing our future pricing model. The Pricing Manager will play a central role in this transformation: leading the business design of our future pricing model and driving the successful adoption of the new pricing platform. This is a highly cross-functional role that bridges Sales, Finance, Operations, and IT, combining analytical expertise with robust business and project leadership. The ideal candidate has hands-on pricing experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment and a proven track record supporting or leading pricing process or system transformations. Key Responsibilities 1. Pricing Strategy Lead the review and redesign of pricing structures, discounting logic, and freight recovery to align with strategic and profitability objectives. Define and implement the framework for decoupling freight from product pricing, ensuring transparency and cost accuracy. Support the development of pricing segmentation,
value-based pricing logic, and margin targets. Establish pricing governance, policies, and approval workflows in collaboration with Sales and Finance. 2. Pricing Transformation Project Lead Serve as the business lead for the pricing transformation project. Collaborate with external consultants to design the future-state pricing model, business rules, and freight-related processes. Translate pricing strategy and governance into detailed business requirements for the new pricing tool. Partner with IT, Master Data, and the tool vendor to validate configuration, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Support rollout, change management, and adoption of new pricing processes across the organization. 3. Pricing Analysis and Insights Analyze customer, product, and freight data to identify margin improvement opportunities. Develop dashboards and KPIs to track pricing effectiveness, margin realization, and freight recovery. Monitor pricing performance and compliance with established pricing policies. Provide ongoing insight to leadership on customer, product, and regional pricing performance. Partner with Finance to model pricing scenarios and measure financial impacts. 4. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Sales to ensure pricing models are practical, competitive,
and clearly communicated. Partner with Operations to ensure accurate freight cost capture and recovery. Collaborate with IT and Master Data to maintain pricing data integrity and alignment across systems. 5. Continuous Improvement and Change Enablement Recommend ongoing enhancements to pricing tools, processes, and governance based on performance insights. Stay informed on market trends, competitive pricing, and best practices in industrial/manufacturing pricing. Support training and communication to drive adoption of current pricing approaches across the organization. Serve as a change champion, communicating the purpose and value of pricing transformation to internal stakeholders. Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field. Experience 5+ years of experience in pricing management. Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial products required. Exposure to pricing transformation, process redesign, or pricing tool implementation preferred. Solid understanding of product cost structures, margin analysis, cost-to-serve models and freight cost allocation. Technical Skills Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities. Experience with Power BI preferred. Familiarity with ERP systems and pricing software is an asset. Soft Skills Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Detail-oriented and organized. Able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Comfortable working in both strategic and hands-on operational settings.
