Role Description
We’re looking for a Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient shipping, receiving, inspection, storage, and movement of materials throughout our facility. You will play a key role in supporting production by ensuring inventory accuracy, coordinating shipments, operating material handling equipment, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders.
- Inspect materials for damage and ensure all received items meet quality standards.
- Prepare export documentation, Bills of Lading, Airway Bills, and other shipping documentation.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with logistics providers and transportation companies.
- Process shipping and receiving transactions using Epicor ERP and RF scanning equipment.
- Sort, label, repack, and distribute materials to the appropriate departments.
- Perform inventory counts and report discrepancies.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and, upon completion of training, a 10-ton overhead crane.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Complete pickups and deliveries using a company vehicle as required.
- Support warehouse organization, housekeeping, and facility maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with company quality, health, safety, and security procedures.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Supply Chain & Logistics Management, Warehouse & Inventory Management, Operations Management, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Forklift certification required.
- 3-5 years of experience in shipping and receiving within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience operating forklifts; overhead crane experience is considered an asset.
- Valid Ontario driver's licence.
- Experience using ERP systems (Epicor preferred), RF scanners, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret packing slips, shipping documents, and basic blueprints.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with others in a fast-paced setting.

Hourly Rate: $24.00–$26.00 per hour
