Make a difference as a Full time Youth Support Worker with PLEA Community Services in Surrey, BC. Engage youths in one-to-one activities to foster well-being and personal growth.
PLEA is seeking a dedicated Youth Support Worker for its U-Turn/U-Link team, starting August 24, 2026. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in social sciences and at least one year of experience working with high-risk youth. You will implement strategies to address youths' complex needs and support their developmental goals while maintaining close supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop individualized support strategies for each youth
Provide supervision and emotional support in community settings
Teach life skills and reinforce positive behaviors
Collaborate with family caregivers and local resources
Maintain detailed reports and ensure compliance with policies
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in social sciences or related field
One year of relevant experience with high-risk youth
Basic First Aid certification required
Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License
Successful Criminal Record Clearance (CCRC)
Support youth in achieving stability and personal growth through your love for community service.
