Join Shared Health as a Cyclotron Technologist in Winnipeg, focusing on radiopharmaceutical preparation and quality control. This role involves working with automated synthesis units and ensuring GMP compliance.
The Cyclotron Technologist will be responsible for the production and quality assurance of radiopharmaceuticals for both research and clinical purposes. This position requires hands-on operation of the cyclotron and involvement in nighttime production shifts to meet urgent delivery schedules.
Candidates will also contribute to the development of innovative radiotracers.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare radiopharmaceuticals under Positive Manufacturing Practices
Operate, monitor, and maintain the cyclotron
Ensure the quality of products through rigorous testing
Assist in developing recent radiotracers
Engage in maintenance support for cyclotron equipment
Requirements:
University degree in Chemistry or related field
Familiarity with techniques like GC and TLC
Lab experience in a GMP workplace
Preferred knowledge in automated synthesis for radiopharmaceuticals
Capability to lift equipment and work off hours
