We are seeking a proactive and attentive Traffic Control Person to ensure the safe and efficient management of vehicle and pedestrian traffic at our work sites. In this vital role, you will oversee access points, direct traffic flow, and maintain safety protocols to support smooth operations. Responsibilities
Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic at designated entry and exit points using clear hand signals or communication devices.
Monitor site access to ensure only authorized personnel, vehicles, and deliveries are permitted entry.
Maintain accurate records of inbound and outbound shipments, including freight documentation and shipping & receiving logs.
Use transportation management systems and software such as AS400 or SyteLine to track deliveries, shipments, and inventory movements.
Communicate effectively with drivers, team members, and management via multi-line phone systems, ensuring smooth coordination.




Enforce safety protocols by conducting visual inspections of vehicles and site areas, reporting any hazards or incidents promptly.
Assist with data entry tasks related to shipping schedules, freight details, and site access logs to support analysis and reporting efforts.

Qualifications
Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and the ability to clearly convey instructions in high-pressure situations.
Basic proficiency in data entry, typing, and using multi-line phone systems for productive record keeping.
Familiarity with transportation management systems or supply chain software such as AS400 or SyteLine is preferred.
Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, freight handling, and site safety protocols.
Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods while maintaining focus on traffic control duties.
Attention to detail with analysis skills for monitoring shipment accuracy and site safety compliance.
Prior experience in logistics, security, or traffic control is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.
