The Senior Accountant supports the Controller with all day-to-day accounting activities and adhoc projects. The position is suitable for an Accountant wanting to advance from intermediate to senior level with a secure organization.

Job Responsibilities

· Positively and professionally represent Reotech Construction and communicate effectively with the owners, customers, trades, and members of our team

· Responsible for the full cycle accounting activities:
Enter cash receipts into Acumatica and prepare daily cash flow report
Perform month end closing tasks: Reconcile sales to AR subledger, record over/under billed job cost adjustment and post recurring journals and accruals
Reconcile subledger to general ledger account balances
Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules
Prepare monthly financial statements and other internal financial reports

· Supervise the activities of accounting and payroll personnel:
Oversee preparation of weekly cheque runs, internal purchase orders, etc.
Oversee processing of bi-weekly payroll and act as back-up for payroll administrator
Oversee activities of purchasing and inventory

· Ensure tax remittances and filings are completed accurately and on time (GST, EHT, payroll, WSBC, etc.)



· Assist in the preparation and maintenance of schedules and working papers for the annual review engagement

· Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Experience:

· Completion of a post-secondary accounting program and CPA designation

· Minimum of 5 years experience in a full cycle accounting role with supervisory responsibilities in the construction industry

· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with Acumatica and assisting in ERP implementations would be an asset

· Detail oriented with solid organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize a complex and time-sensitive workload; must be able to work with discretion and be trusted with confidential information

· Ability to self-manage, prioritize and problem solve

· Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
