Kwantlen Polytechnic University seeks a part time Counselling Psychology Faculty member for a hybrid role starting January 1, 2027. Teach undergraduate courses while fostering student growth and community connections.
In this unique position at KPU, you will teach four course sections focusing on Counselling Psychology subjects. The role includes student supervision and active participation in curricular development and outreach programs. Candidates with a PhD are preferred but those with a Master's degree will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver courses such as Theories of Counselling
Supervise student counselling practice and skills
Participate in university and departmental committees
Create creative courses for the expanding department
Facilitate community outreach and engagement activities
Requirements:
Master's degree in Counselling Psychology required; PhD preferred
Proven track record in undergraduate teaching
Exceptional understanding of the arts tradition
Ability to develop courses supporting departmental goals
Documented evidence of successful teaching
Contribute to an inclusive learning workplace and advance the counselling psychology field at KPU.
