Elevate your career with PetroChina Canada as a Royalty Accountant in Calgary. This role focuses on full cycle production accounting, supporting compliance and operational efficiency. As a key member of the Finance Team, you will report to the Lead for Production, Revenue, and Royalty Accounting. Your expertise will be paramount in ensuring accurate financial data and adherence to regulatory requirements for the Simonette facility and associated wells. Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and assess impacts of changes in production and regulations
Manage commodity transaction accounting with Marketing
Perform monthly reconciliations and revenue accruals
Ensure timely reporting for government and Petrinex
Proactively identify process improvement prospects Requirements:
Bachelor's in Business with accounting specialization
Mandatory CAPPA certification
10+ years of production accounting experience
Solid understanding of regulatory requirements in Alberta
