Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our team. As a part of the DOP Restaurant group in Calgary, The Little Noodle Shop is looking to grow its operations at Crossroads Market, which is open to the public Friday - Sunday.

The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, ensure food safety standards are met, and support the kitchen staff in delivering high-quality meals. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about all things food, with experience in restaurant or kitchen environments, looking to contribute to a great team setting.

Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to recipes and standards
Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep station and kitchen area
Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures to ensure hygiene and safety
Support cooking staff during meal service by providing prepared ingredients promptly
Ensure all food handling practices comply with health regulations and safety standards




Assist with inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying management of shortages

Qualifications
Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments preferred
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong teamwork skills and positive communication abilities
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or evenings if required
Passion for the food industry and a commitment to delivering excellent service

Job Types: Full-time, Part time, Permanent Pay: $17.00-$21.00 per hour
