Through award-winning baseball-for-development programs, we partner with communities nationwide to help children and youth facing barriers unlock their potential.JAYS CARE RBI SUMMER EDITION PROGRAM DIRECTORJays Care is looking for Program Directors to engage and lead youth (ages 6-13) in creative & dynamic camp and baseball activities during our Jays Care RBI Summer Edition program. They will also manage a team of up to 10 Activity Leaders. Successful Summer Edition applicants will have experience leading recreational & baseball activities and working with children. A foundational understanding of baseball is an asset.This position is part of our annual seasonal staffing needs. All interested applicants should be aware that this is an in‑person role, employed by Jays Care with a seasonal fixed‑term contract. Camp staff are expected to be present at their designated job site each day of their summer contract, as well as attend all mandatory staff training. RBI Summer Edition (July & August) runs distinct from RBI Spring (April to June). Coaches hired for the Jays Care Spring program are eligible and encouraged to apply to work for RBI Summer Edition.REPORTS TO: Jays Care RBI Summer Edition Site ManagerCONTRACT DURATION: April 1,
2026 – August 21, 20265‑10 hours/month (April to May)10‑35 hours/week (June)35‑45 hours/week (July to August)SALARY: The anticipated base compensation for this role is $27.00 per hour.POSITION STATUS: NewWORK LOCATIONS: Assigned to one of 8 schools within the TDSB (Toronto District School Board) (applicant will have opportunity to indicate location preference).APPLICATION DEADLINE: Applications will be accepted until Friday, January 30, 2026 at 11:59 pm. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.Jays Care RBI Summer Edition Program Director will:Serve as program leader, overseeing activities for approximately 200 youth participantsLead and delegate roles to a team of up to 10 Activity Leaders (program team) and up to 30 more frontline staff within the siteWorking with the program team, create a robust and engaging 6‑week programming calendar, incorporating baseball, leadership, creative arts, and special eventsEnsure that the programming calendar is kept up to date and distributed among staff on timeDevelop and plan opportunities for field trips, liaising with administrative staff to define and accommodate logistical needsSupport the implementation of baseball tournamentsSolicit and act on program feedback from staff and youth participantsConnect with staff about day‑to‑day programming and identify opportunities for staff to take on leadership rolesAssess, plan for, and make in‑store purchases of supplies and materials required for summer programmingProvide leadership, mentorship,
