Duties
Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures
Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
Collect and process laboratory samples, perform diagnostic tests, and maintain accurate records
Monitor anesthesia and vital signs during surgical procedures
Provide pre- and post-operative care to animals
Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of surgical instruments and work areas
Educate pet owners on health care, medication administration, and post-treatment care
Support inventory management by stocking supplies and ordering as needed
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and animal handling standards
Experience
Prior laboratory experience is highly desirable to efficiently perform diagnostic testing and sample processing
Previous experience working with animals in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment are essential
Must have certification as a Veterinary Technician or equivalent to be considered
