Role Description This part-time, in office Physical Therapy Aide role is based at Harbourview Therapy in Winnipeg, MB.

The Physical Therapy

Aide supports therapists by preparing treatment areas, organizing equipment, and assisting with patient exercises under professional supervision. Daily tasks include guiding patients through basic therapeutic activities, monitoring comfort and safety, and helping maintain a clean, organized clinical environment. The role also involves welcoming patients, answering routine questions, managing appointment flow, and documenting basic observations as directed.

Aide collaborates closely with the clinical team to provide effective, supportive care that aligns with personalized treatment plans.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess skills in Physical Therapy support, including assisting with therapeutic exercises and understanding basic rehabilitation principles.

Candidates should possess skills in Exercise Physiology, such as knowledge of human movement, secure exercise progression, and proper body mechanics.

Candidates should possess strong Communication skills for clear interaction with patients, therapists, and other team members.

Candidates should possess Patient Care skills, including empathy, professionalism, and attention to comfort, safety, and dignity.

Candidates should possess Customer Service skills, including a welcoming demeanor, responsiveness to patient needs, and reliability.

Relevant education in kinesiology, physiotherapy assistance, or a related health or fitness field is an asset.

Previous experience in a clinical, rehabilitation, or fitness setting is preferred but not required.

Ability to follow clinical protocols, work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, and manage moderate physical activity throughout the shift.
