We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing patient interactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. Duties
Assist pharmacists with preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
Manage inventory by restocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and maintaining proper storage conditions
Provide excellent patient care by answering questions, offering medication instructions, and supporting patient needs
Enter prescription data into pharmacy systems with attention to detail and accuracy
Support administrative tasks such as billing, filing, and maintaining patient records
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and medical terminology standards
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate medication administration and patient support services
Skills
Previous hospital experience or pharmacy technician experience is highly desirable
Robust understanding of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
Attention to detail for accurate data entry and inventory management
Patient care skills to support diverse healthcare needs effectively
Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
