Role Description The Pharmacy Assistant is a part-time, on-site role based in Newmarket, ON. This role supports the pharmacist by preparing and processing prescriptions, labeling medications, and ensuring accurate patient records. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing inventory by receiving stock, organizing shelves, tracking product levels, and assisting with orders to maintain availability of medications and supplies.

The role also involves maintaining a clean, organized workspace,



following pharmacy policies and regulatory requirements, and working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure efficient, high-quality service.

Qualifications

Candidates must be comfortable using Microsoft Excel and Word

Candidates should possess skills related to prescription processing and basic pharmacy operations.

Candidates should possess inventory management skills for organizing, tracking, and replenishing medications and supplies.

Candidates should possess attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and the ability to follow confidential and regulatory guidelines.

Relevant experience in a retail pharmacy or healthcare setting is beneficial.

Ability to stand for extended periods, lift light to moderate loads, and work adaptable schedule, including evenings or weekends as needed.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work respectfully within a diverse team and customer base.
