Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and possess a solid background in medical office procedures. Previous ophthalmic experience and car access preferred.

Responsibilities
Assist ophthalmologists in providing patient care
Perform diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, lensometry, and tonometry
Prepare patients for examinations and treatments
Maintain accurate electronic medical records using systems like Epic
Handle front desk duties including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information
Educate patients on proper eye care and contact lens usage

Experience
Previous experience in a medical office setting,



particularly in ophthalmology, is preferred
Familiarity with optical equipment and procedures
Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems like Epic
Knowledge of medical terminology related to ophthalmology
Experience with pediatric patients is a plus
Solid customer service skills with a background in retail sales would be beneficial
IN HOUSE TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED

Job Type: Part time Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
