PRN X-Ray/Bone Density Technician

We are currently seeking a PRN X-Ray/Bone Density Technician (<29 hours a week) to join our X-Ray Department at our Burlington location. The X-Ray Technician uses imaging modalities, performs radiographic procedures, applies principles of radiation protection, and evaluates radiographs for technical quality while exercising skilled judgment and providing excellent patient care.

​Experience:

A minimum of one year of x-ray experience in an outpatient clinic setting is preferred.





Experience with EPIC is a plus but not required.

Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program
Current A.R.R.T.

certification (RT-R)
Current BLS certification with AHA

Duties include, but are not limited to:
Adheres to all applicable federal and state regulations regarding the operation of radiological equipment.
Checks in patients as needed.
Verifies patient identity using two identifiers prior to performing diagnostic radiographic testing.
Clearly explains the purpose and nature of radiology procedures to patients to minimize fear and anxiety.
Positions and transfers patients using proper lifting techniques and immobilizes as necessary.
Selects appropriate exposure factors by properly adjusting equipment on an individual basis.
Position includes floating to the Bone Density area to provide support as needed.
