Python Engineer

Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Python Engineer to join a leading global financial services organization. This is an excellent opportunity to work on enterprise-scale applications, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and build high-performance solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and services.
Build scalable APIs and backend systems using up-to-date Python frameworks.
Collaborate with business analysts, developers, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases to develop robust data solutions.
Support deployment activities and production issue resolution as needed.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of professional experience in Python development.
Strong knowledge of Python programming and object-oriented design principles.




Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
Familiarity with frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
Experience working with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle).
Knowledge of Git and modern software development practices.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
Exposure to messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Knowledge of financial services or enterprise application development is an asset.
