We are seeking a dedicated Grocery Manager to oversee the operations of our grocery department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the industry, exceptional team management skills, deep product knowledge and a solid focus on customer service and sales.
Duties
Manage day-to-day operations of the grocery department, including inventory management, ordering, stocking, and merchandising.
Lead and motivate a team of grocery associates to ensure excellent customer service.
Utilize point-of-sale (POS) systems for puchase orders and pricing control.
Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and product knowledge.
Negotiate with suppliers for competitive pricing and promotions.
Maintain optimal inventory levels with strategic buying and sales.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a grocery management role or similar position.
Robust leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional customer service abilities.
Proficiency in sales strategies and merchandising techniques.
-Willing to develop knowledge on the local customer base and product preferences.
Familiarity with POS systems.
Manage direct reports, including orientation, training and performance evaluation.
Excellent negotiation skills for vendor interactions.
