Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery. This role requires a solid understanding of equipment operation, safety protocols, and mechanical knowledge to ensure efficient and secure operations on the job site. This position reports to the Foreman/Supervisor on site.

Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment such as graders, bulldozers, loaders, and excavators to perform tasks including digging, building, and moving materials.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery to prevent accidents and injuries.
Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and report any malfunctions or issues to supervisors.
Utilize farm machinery as needed for agricultural projects,



demonstrating versatility in equipment operation.
Assist in training new operators on equipment handling techniques and safety practices.

Qualifications
Underground civil experience is an asset.
"Hands-On" experience on multiple pieces of heavy equipment.
1 Year minimum experience on a specific piece of heavy equipment.
Valid commercial driving license is preferred but not mandatory.
Class 5 Driver's License
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
A commitment to safety and adherence to all operational guidelines.
