Qualifications

Up to date transparent Child Abuse Registry check – (Full time to be renewed every 2 years; part time to be renewed yearly)

Up to date clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Record Check – (Full time to be renewed every 2 years; part-time to be renewed yearly)

Up to date First Aid – (to be renewed every 3 years)

WHMIS – to be done ASAP after taking the position

Have valuable interpersonal skills

Must be self-motivated, energetic, punctual and reliable

No experience necessary Job Summary – roles and responsibilities (but not limited to):

Sweeping, dusting, wet mopping, scrubbing and spot cleaning, stripping, waxing, sealing and buffing floors as directed

Trash pick up and removal, recycling and composting

Dish washing

Window and wall washing

Disinfecting toys and other hard surfaces

Moving furniture, assisting in loading,



unloading and distribution of supplies

Operating powered equipment typically used in custodial operations

Maintaining supply and equipment inventory as directed. Keeping janitor closets clean and orderly, maintaining supplies and adhering to work plans
