Responsibilities
Safely operate flatbed trucks to transport freight over long and short distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Secure loads properly using straps, chains, and tarps to prevent shifting or damage during transit
Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load security equipment
Assist with loading and unloading freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and pickups
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage,



cargo details, and inspection reports in compliance with federal regulations
Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle reliability and safety

Skills
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
Experience operating flatbed trucks in various weather conditions and terrains
Proficiency in freight handling and securing loads on flatbeds
Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts safely and efficiently
Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving and heavy equipment operation
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
