Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly demeanor
Take accurate food and beverage orders using proper serving techniques
Serve meals, drinks, and desserts efficiently while maintaining high standards of food handling and presentation
Wine service, Gustav has a great wine list and we have Wine Spectator award
Check in with guests regularly to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly
Explicit tables and reset dining areas quickly to maintain a clean, organized environment
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal timing and special requests
Handle cash or electronic payments accurately and responsibly
Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and potential allergens, to assist guests effectively
Experience
Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not required; we provide training for motivated candidates
Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is advantageous
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
Basic math skills for processing payments and managing bills accurately
Experience working in hotels or hospitality environments is a plus but not mandatory
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Willingness to learn meal preparation techniques and assist with light food handling tasks
