Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation and setup of paving sites, including site clearing and material handling
Operate heavy equipment such as rollers, skid steers, or loaders under supervision to support paving activities
Spread and level asphalt using shovels, rakes, or power tools to ensure even surfaces
Support the installation of asphalt overlays, patches, and repairs with precision and care
Maintain safety standards by adhering to all safety protocols and wearing appropriate protective gear at all times
Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment around the worksite
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards
Requirements
Previous construction experience is preferred but not mandatory; a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential
Ability to operate or learn heavy equipment operation safely and effectively
Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Knowledge of paving processes or willingness to acquire skills through on-the-job training
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
Commitment to safety practices and attention to detail in all tasks
