Application/Software Architect — BI & Systems Integration (Ottawa, ON)

Idea Theorem Inc. is hiring an Application/Software Architect to join our team. You'll own application-level architecture and integration design across BI tools, databases, and custom applications.

What you'll do

Design technical architectures and integration solutions across multiple systems (APIs, middleware, data pipelines)

Conceive, design, and implement custom BI solutions end-to-end

Evaluate and select technology platforms and frameworks

Document system standards, data dictionaries, and interfaces

Support stakeholder requirements-gathering and training/knowledge transfer

What we're looking for

5+ years as an Application/Software Architect delivering IT solutions

5+ years designing and implementing solutions in a BI workplace





Solid track record evaluating and selecting technology platforms

Experience integrating multiple systems/data sources (APIs, middleware, ETL)

Comfortable working across multiple programming languages (Python, SQL, Java/C#, JavaScript, R, etc.)

Broad exposure to BI/data-discovery tools (Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, and similar)

Public sector or regulated-industry experience is a plus

Master's or PhD in a Computer Science-related field, Software/Computer Engineering, or Project Management preferred

Canadian citizenship required — must be eligible for Government of Canada SECRET-level security clearance
