Overview
We are looking for an experienced and dependable Journeyman Mechanic to join our team. This position involves maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing generators in our shop and customer's locations.

Responsibilities
Diagnose, service, maintain, and repair diesel and natural gas generator systems
Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements along with reading and knowing schematics
Troubleshoot mechanical issues both in-shop and in office
Perform emergency repairs and provide site services as needed
Complete service reports, work orders
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Willing to work overtime, weekends and out of town when required
Test & turn generators, load tests perform maintenance interval servicing

Qualifications
Valid Journeyman certification in a relevant mechanical trade
Previous experience servicing generators,



diesel engines or industrial equipment is strongly preferred
Solid mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience
Able to work independently and manage priorities in the field
Reliable, organized and committed to completing quality work
Fluent in English (written and verbal) for field reporting and customer communication
Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving abstract
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical schematics

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $40.00-$42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
