Stone Cutter – Full-Time

Traditional Cut Stone is a leader in architectural conservation and historic stone restoration, contributing to some of North America’s most significant stone buildings including universities, cathedrals, and government buildings. With 45,000 square feet of workspace and the largest team of traditional stone carvers under one roof in North America, we take pride in our craftsmanship and the large-scale restoration projects we’ve completed—such as the Minnesota State Capitol, Toronto’s Old City Hall, and St. Michael’s Cathedral.

Position: Stone Cutter/Carver

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Stone Cutter / Stone Carver to join our team. The successful candidate will work with natural stone to cut, shape, carve, and finish products for residential, commercial, and restoration projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Cut, shape, carve, and finish stone according to specifications and drawings.

Read and interpret measurements, templates, and technical drawings.

Perform engraving, lettering,



and decorative carving when required.

Inspect finished work to ensure quality and accuracy.

Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

Experience in stone cutting, carving, masonry, monument work, or a related trade is preferred.

Ability to operate grinders and hand-carving tools.

Solid attention to detail and craftsmanship.

Ability to read measurements and technical drawings.

Physically able to lift heavy materials.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Salary

Wage is based on experience

Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
