Duties
Prepare and process meat products through skilled butchery techniques, ensuring precise cuts and presentation
Handle food items with care, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout all stages of food preparation
Package meat products efficiently for retail or wholesale, ensuring proper labeling and freshness preservation
Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
Assist customers by providing knowledgeable service, answering questions about products, and offering recommendations
Maintain organized workstations, stock supplies, and support inventory management efforts
Support kitchen operations by assisting with other food preparation tasks as needed to ensure smooth workflow
Requirements
Proven experience in the food industry, particularly in food preparation or kitchen environments
Solid skills in butchery and meat cutting techniques (deboning) with attention to detail
Knowledge of food handling procedures and strict adherence to food safety standards
Ability to operate packaging equipment and maintain cleanliness in the workspace
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
Previous kitchen experience is highly desirable to adapt quickly to the team’s workflow
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks efficiently
