Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, handle transactions accurately, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role requires robust communication skills, organizational abilities, and a customer-focused attitude. Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus to assist diverse customers. The Cashier will be responsible for managing sales transactions, maintaining the checkout area, and supporting overall store operations.

Duties
Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases
Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision and security
Provide product information and demos when applicable, especially in technology or retail sales environments
Upsell products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and store revenue
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and merchandising displays
Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
Communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure smooth store operations




Follow phone etiquette standards when handling inquiries or customer calls
Manage time efficiently during busy periods to minimize wait times

Skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
Proficiency with POS systems and basic math for accurate cash handling
Solid organizational skills and attention to detail in merchandising and sales processes
Ability to perform product demos and explain features clearly in technical sales environments
Knowledge of retail sales techniques including upselling and cross-selling strategies
Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
Skilled phone etiquette for customer inquiries over the phone or via digital communication platforms
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanor
Basic understanding of merchandising, product displays, and inventory management
