Restaurant Server

Job Summary

We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional service, ensure guests have an enjoyable dining experience, and work efficiently in a fast-paced Indian restaurant. Knowledge of Indian cuisine is an asset but not required—we will provide training.

Key Responsibilities
Welcome guests and provide friendly, qualified service.
Present menus and explain Indian dishes, spice levels, and daily specials.
Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system.
Suggest menu items, appetizers, desserts, and beverages to increase sales.
Serve food and drinks promptly and accurately.
Check on guests throughout their meal and address any concerns professionally.
Process cash, debit, and credit card payments accurately.
Set up and clean dining tables before and after service.
Refill beverages and ensure guest satisfaction.
Assist with takeout and online delivery orders when required.
Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, server stations, and washrooms.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.




Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate orders.
Complete opening and closing side duties.

Qualifications
Previous serving experience is an asset but not required.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment.
Strong teamwork and multitasking abilities.
Positive attitude and professional appearance.
Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Knowledge of Indian cuisine is an asset.
Smart Serve Certification is required if serving alcoholic beverages in Ontario.

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Lift and carry trays up to 20 kg (45 lbs).
Ability to bend, reach, and move quickly during busy service.
