Direct Coil Inc., a rapidly growing manufacturer of custom heat transfer products is currently looking for a hardworking and detail oriented individual to fill the position of Junior Designer.

We are looking for you to show initiative, the desire to learn, and ability to apply yourself to everyday tasks in the Engineering Dept. In return we will train you in our systems and practices to eventually become a Mechanical Designer.

Responsibilities:

· Learning how to create 3D and 2D models and production drawings of sheet metal parts, tubing components and assemblies using Solidworks & Draftsight Software.

· Checking work for conformity and error

· Creating bills of materials

· Implement design changes and document revisions

· Working closely with the production dept to analyze and remedy any manufacturing issues that arise.

Ideal candidate should have:

· A Desire to eventually become a Mechanical Designer in the HVAC industry.

· A robust interest and understanding of basic Engineering principles.

· Willingness to learn & take instruction from experienced designers on how to use our propriety coil design software.

· Be adaptable and willing to accept change in priorities.

· Ability to work under tight time restrictions and meet deadlines.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.





· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.

· Show an interest in being a part of the HVAC design industry.

· Be willing to work overtime when needed.
