We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team with 2 year dental experience. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a busy dental office environment. This role requires proficiency in electronic medical records and familiarity with dental terminology to ensure smooth operations and effective communication within the practice.
Duties
Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out procedures.
Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for dental providers.
Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems, including Dentrix and Epic.
Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and providing information regarding services.
Process patient insurance claims and verify insurance coverage as needed.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain a clean, organized reception area.
Skills
Proficient in electronic medical records systems,.
Robust understanding of medical terminology related to dental practices.
Previous experience in a dental office or medical office setting is preferred.
Excellent administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Solid communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
Familiarity with office phone systems and scheduling software is essential.
Ability to work in a quick-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and composure.
