Rimbey Long Term Care is seeking an individual to join our team as a Casual Unit Clerk. As the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and healthcare professionals, the Unit Clerk plays an key role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment while ensuring the smooth flow of communication and administrative processes within the site. Supporting unit staffing is a large part of this role.
Description:
As a Unit Clerk, you will be responsible for the effective flow of communication between health professionals, departments, patients and families while maintaining confidentiality of patient information. You will also be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks which may include reception, greeting and directing visitors, patients and health professionals, maintaining patient records and charts, transcribing and processing physician orders as well as scheduling patient tests and/or treatments. You will also be responsible for performing a range of administrative activities in support of the unit.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum 6 months experience with staffing and scheduling duties. Experience working with individuals living with dementia. Demonstrated customer service skills and strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in applications such as Connect Care, eFacilities, WFM, Microsoft Office Products, and administrative equipment.
