Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Tree Cutting / Felling Labourer for a temporary position on an acreage 15 minutes outside Saskatoon. This role involves assisting with tree cutting, removal and log stacking. The position offers an excellent chance to gain hands-on experience in forestry and horticulture operations, working outdoors in a physically demanding setting. Candidates should be prepared to work efficiently and adhere to safety protocols while contributing to project success.
Responsibilities
Conduct secure felling and removal of trees using appropriate tools and techniques
Operate equipment such as chainsaws and other machinery as needed for tree access and removal
Support landscape maintenance activities,
including clearing debris and maintaining work sites
Maintain safety standards by wearing protective gear and following safety procedures at all times
Requirements
Physically fit and able to handle demanding outdoor labour (lifting, dragging, working on uneven ground)
Chainsaw experience is critical.
Must have reliable transportation to the acreage
Own steel-toe boots and work gloves (chainsaw chaps are highly recommended)
Safety-conscious and dependable
Must be 18 years of age or older
