Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with dental procedures, and ensuring smooth office operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a quick-paced workplace where your skills in dental assisting and patient communication are highly valued. Experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, as well as familiarity with orthodontics, pediatrics, and CAD technology, will be considered advantageous. The position is paid and suitable for individuals passionate about advancing their career in dental healthcare. must be able to work evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including orthodontic and pediatric treatments
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when required
Manage patient records accurately using Epic and Dentrix software systems
Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort
Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to safety standards at all times
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as needed
Assist with dental reception duties when necessary, including checking in patients and updating medical histories
Qualifications
Proven experience in dental assisting or related roles; familiarity with Epic, Dentrix, Orthodontics, Pediatrics, and CAD is preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care
Strong understanding of dental procedures and clinical protocols
Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient support
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a busy setting
Certification or training in dental assisting is highly desirable; additional skills in CAD or orthodontics are a plus
A positive attitude, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00-$28.50 per hour
