The Care Companion role entails working alongside residents in retirement homes, promoting their well-being. Key duties include supervising residents around the facility, assisting with mobility, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide items of comfort and engage residents in conversation
Monitor residents for safety continuously
Report any safety concerns to appropriate staff
Aid residents with mobility within the care setting
Uphold a positive and dignified atmosphere for residents
Requirements:
Must have a high school diploma or similar qualification
Explicit criminal record and vulnerable sector check are mandatory
NVCI certification is required for this position
Previous experience in geriatrics is a plus
Strong observation skills and calmness under pressure are required
