Join Lookout Housing and Health Society as a Tenant Support Worker dedicated to enhancing lives. This role focuses on supporting low-income adults in Tamura House through education and skills training.
Working full time, you will assist residents in overcoming challenges related to housing and personal development. You must exhibit robust advocacy, conflict resolution, and crisis intervention skills, fostering a supportive community. Engage with diverse individuals as you help them achieve greater independence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct tenant intakes and assess individual needs
• Create tailored service plans for residents
• Ensure basic and emergency needs are met
• Document staff interactions and maintain records
• Mentor volunteers and students in office
Requirements:
• Community Social Service Diploma required
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License, where applicable
• OFA 1 First Aid Certificate needed
• Two years of related experience minimum
• Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Clearance
