Title: IT Business Analyst
Location: Toronto (Hybrid – Monday & Tuesday onsite)
Duration: 12 Months (Extension possible)
Domain: Banking
Pay Rate: C$60/Hr. to C$65/Hr.

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to join our team in a agile and collaborative setting. This role offers exposure to different groups within the organization and the chance to work on impactful projects within the B2B - Banking sector.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Typically between 4 - 6 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Foundational level of proficiency in Waterfall and Agile Delivery and Development, Data analysis, Learning Agility, Process improvement and optimization, Business architecture frameworks, Stakeholder Analysis and Management, Digital Fluency, and Systems Thinking.
Intermediate level of proficiency in Business requirements definition and analysis, Insights development and reporting, Application functional design, Functional Analysis, Verbal & written communication skills, Collaboration & team skills, Analytical and problem-solving skills, and Data-driven decision making.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications




Able to understand the technical lingo when it comes to architecture, Data analysis & flows.
Previous Financial/Banking industry experience.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Elicit requirements and analyze feasibility to ensure solutions/initiatives achieve the expected business outcomes.
Support various project teams across the project lifecycle to ensure development is aligned with the business requirements.
Develop informative, coherent, and usable project documents (project artifacts) for multiple stakeholders covering functional and non-functional business requirements.
Apply depth of domain & functional expertise for the assigned portfolio to drive the expected business value.
Break down strategic problems, and analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
Build test cases to validate business requirements and End-User Testing results.
Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules, working independently on a range of complex tasks, which may include unique situations.
